Laos information

One may know Laos as a country of million of Elephants. One may also know Laos as one of the least comercialized destinations: the way of living has seemed unchanged or very little changed for many generations ; the people are very friendly, peaceful and perhaps the most genuine of all countries in South East Asia. Almost 60% of the nation is still dominated by primary forest and highlands which are the home of 68 different ethnic minorities in a population of under 4 million people totally. But another important thing is that this country has a centuries-old civilization with so many precious vestiges of history, culture, religion...

Note: the following itinerary can be changed to fit your international flights. Some changes can keep the same airfares but some may result in changes of airfares.

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN HANOI, (D)
Arrive in Hanoi. Greet at the airport & transfer to your hotel. Free at leisure or city tour if time permits. O/N in HAN.
Day 2: HANOI, (B,L,D)
Tour of Hanoi: Literature temple, History museum, Old quarter of Hanoi with 36 old trade streets, Hoan Kiem lake with Ngoc Son temple, One-pillar pagoda, West lake with Tran Quoc old pagoda, Archeological museum…O/N in HAN.
Day 3: HANOI – HALONG, (B,L,D)
Morning visit to Bat Trang traditional ceramics village @ If you’re interested, a special visit to the water puppet master house can be arranged (in here you can watch how water puppets are made and perfome and understand more about the history and art of water puppet shows). Then continue to Halong bay voted as A World Natural Heritage. O/N in Halong.

Day 4: HALONG – NINH BINH, (B,L,D)
Morning boat cruise in Halong bay through thousands of exotic islands. Visit Thien Cung and Dau Go grottos and caves. Lunch on the boat. Afternoon continue to Ninh Binh where has Hoa Lu as the first capital of Vietnam over 1000 years ago. O/N at VAN XUAN VILLAS, right in Hoa Lu area.
Day 5: NINH BINH – HANOI, (B,L,D)
Visit Dinh & Le dynasty temples then have row-boat on a small river through water rice paddies and Tam Coc and Bich Dong caves. Afternoon drive back to Hanoi.
Day 6: HANOI – VIENTIANE (VTE), (B,L,D)
Fly to VTE. Half day city tour in VTE: Vat Sisaket, Vat Hor Phrakeo, the former house of emerald Buddha and Thatluang (great sacked stupa). O/N in VTE.

Day 13: SIEM REAP - SAIGON / VIETNAM, (B,L,D)
Fly to Saigon. Half day tour to Cu Chi tunnels. Enjoy a cultural show with dances, traditional wedding and instrument performance. O/N in SGN
Day 14: SAIGON - MEKONG DELTA - SAIGON
Day trip to Mekong delta. Have a boat cruise then take row-boats on Mekong river and small canals for sightseeing. Enjoy tea and fruit at a garden of a local farmer family. Visit Vinh Trang pagoda. Late afternoon drive back to Saigon for a general city tour. O/N in SGN
Day 15: SAIGON - HUE, (B,L,D)
Fly to Hue, Tour in Hue: Imperial citadel, mausoleums of former Kings of KHAI DINH - TU DUC..., boat cruise on the Perfume river to visit Thien Mu pagoda. O/N in Hue.
Day 16: HUE - HOI AN - DANANG, (B,L,D)
Drive to DAD, stop to see Lang Co beach. Visit to Hoi An ancient town remaining centuries-old architectures of Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese And even European. O/N in DAD.
Day 17: DANANG - BANGKOK, (B)
Quick visit to Cao Dai temple in DAD then transfer to airport for departure to Bangkok. In case, departure flight from here is not available, clients can fly back to Saigon for connection departure. Extra flight DAD-SGN is 65$US each.
